For the past 10 years Chris McLaughlin has been involved in most aspects of record making and sound engineering. He has recorded, mixed and/or produced bands such as Township, Mean Creek, Aberdeen City, Polarbaron, The Luxembourg Brothers, This Is the Panopticon, and many others.
In 2006 he produced and engineered Township's Ladywood EP featuring 'Give It to It', which won the WBCN song of the year.
As a guitar player in Aberdeen City he has worked with Steve Lillywhite, Nic Hard, Sean Slade, and Michael Brauer. In 2005 and 2006 Aberdeen City won Boston Music Awards for best local rock band, best song ('God Is Going to Get Sick of Me'), and album ('The Freezing Atlantic').
This spring he moved in as the house engineer at 1867.
